* The term ‘Anishnawbek’ specifically refers to the Anishinaabe people, including groups such as the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi. Using this term honors their distinct cultural, historical, and linguistic identity, promoting respect and recognition for their unique heritage and contributions. The Anishnawbek also recognize the vast nations of original people in what is now called Canada.
